
Bengaluru : An Elderly Health, Eye Care and General Checkup Camp was organised by Vijai Sambhav Foundation at Sandhya Suraksha – A Home for Helpless Elderly Women, in association with Aloka Foundation and Kauvery Hospital.
The camp benefitted around 100 elderly residents, who received comprehensive healthcare services including eye screening, distribution of free spectacles, medical tests for blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI, along with general physician consultations. The initiative focused on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis and improving the overall quality of life of senior citizens.
Doctors and healthcare professionals from Kauvery Hospital extended their medical services, while on-ground coordination was managed by volunteers Ravi, Sonal, John, Carol, Shweta and Jitendra, ensuring smooth execution of the programme. Prasad from Sandhya Suraksha played a key role in facilitating arrangements and supporting the implementation of the camp at the ground level.
The initiative was well received by the residents and management of Sandhya Suraksha, reflecting the importance of sustained community-driven healthcare outreach.
