Over 1,000 Participants Unite in Bengaluru to Spread the Message of Hope, Strength, and Early Detection
Bengaluru : Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, successfully organised the annual “Pink Up the Pace 2025”, a 5K Run dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection. The event saw an enthusiastic participation of over 1000 runners, including healthcare professionals, fitness enthusiasts, students, and community members — all uniting to raise awareness and support the fight against breast cancer.
The event was graced by esteemed chief guests — Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Member of Parliament (Bengaluru Rural, Lok Sabha); Mrs. Amulya Jagadish, renowned Kannada actress; Mr. Jagadish R. Chandra, social worker; and Mr. Basawaraj Teli, ACP, South Division — whose inspiring presence added significance to the cause.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. C. N. Manjunath said, “Breast cancer awareness must begin at home. Every mother and daughter should prioritize regular health check-ups and mammogram screening after the age of 40. Early detection not only saves lives but preserves the strength of families. Hospitals like Gleneagles BGS play a vital role in bringing such awareness to the community.”
Mrs. Amulya Jagadish shared her heartfelt message, saying, “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together for this cause. Awareness and timely action can make a world of difference — every step we take today spreads hope and courage.”
Mr. Jagadish R. Chandra added, “Collective participation in health awareness initiatives builds stronger, more informed communities. When we take responsibility for spreading knowledge, we create lasting impact.”
The event was also attended by senior consultants and doctors from Gleneagles BGS Hospital, including Dr. Mathangi, Dr. Rajeev, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Dharma, Dr. Jaswanti, Dr. Prerana, Dr. Govind, and Dr. Sindhu, who actively supported the initiative and emphasized the importance of preventive health and early screening for women.
