Lions Club Joins Hands with BSF’s Subsidiary Training Centre, Bangalore to Support Veeranganas

Bangalore : In a significant gesture of solidarity and social responsibility, the Lions Club collaborated with the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Bangalore to extend support to the families of the force’s brave personnel. A donation was presented to the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) to aid the ‘Veeranganas’ – the courageous wives and families of the guardians of the nation’s borders.

The ceremony was held at the STC BSF campus in Bangalore and was graced by the presence of senior BSF officials and distinguished members of the Lions Club.

Shri Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, Inspector General of STC BSF Bangalore, presided over the event as the Chief Guest. The donation was formally received by Smt Bhavana Yadav, the Head of the local BWWA unit.

The Lions Club delegation was led by Mr. G Mohan, District Governor, who emphasized the Club’s commitment to serving communities and honoring the families of those who serve the nation.

The event was also attended by key officers from STC BSF, including Shri Harendra Kumar, Second-in-Command; Shri Arvind Kumar Upadhaya, Second-in-Command; and Shri Anil Kumar Meena, Deputy Commandant, who all lauded the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG, stated, “This collaboration exemplifies the strong bond between the civil society and our armed forces. The support extended by the Lions Club to our Veeranganas is not just a donation, but a recognition of their resilience and sacrifice. It strengthens our resolve and acknowledges the silent contributions made by our families.”

Mr. G Mohan, District Governor of Lions Club, added, “It is our honour to support the Veeranganas of the BSF. These families are the backbone of our nation’s security, and this initiative is a small token of our immense gratitude for their unwavering strength and sacrifice.”

The programme concluded on a note of mutual respect and a shared commitment to the welfare of the families of India’s border security personnel.
