
Bangalore : A large-scale Dental Health Outreach Programme was successfully organised at the Family Welfare Centre, STC BSF Bangalore under the Swasthya Bharat and Shreshta Bharat initiative, focusing on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis and community-based medical support for BSF personnel and their families.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and Dishabodh Foundation, with participation from R.V. Dental College, V.S. Dental College and Krishnadevaraya Dental College, Bangalore.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Shri Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, Inspector General, STC BSF Bangalore, Dr. B.C. Bhagwan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, RGUHS, Swami Vikhyadananda Maharaj Ji, Arya Indiga Mahasamsthana, Solur Mata, Dr. Mahendera, Senate Member, RGUHS, Shri K. Shivanagi Reddy, Director, Dishabodh Foundation, and Shri Prashanth Goenka, Chairman and Managing Director, Aryavarth Express, whose presence added dignity and inspiration to the occasion.
In his inaugural remarks, Dr. B.C. Bhagwan underscored the critical importance of preventive oral healthcare and commended the collaborative framework that enabled the delivery of specialised healthcare services to personnel and their families.
In his spiritual address, Swami Vikhyadananda Maharaj Ji offered his blessings for the well-being of the force fraternity and encouraged the continuation of such humanitarian initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, Shri D.K. Yadav, IPS, Inspector General, STC BSF Bangalore, expressed his sincere appreciation to all sponsoring organisations, partnering institutions and the dedicated medical teams for their outstanding service. He highlighted the growing need for specialised medical care for BSF troops, stressing that personnel often operate in challenging terrains and adverse operational conditions that demand advanced and timely medical support. He emphasised that such collaborative healthcare initiatives are essential for strengthening operational readiness and morale, and strongly advocated for the expansion of future partnerships to include super-speciality medical services for the force.
The programme benefited more than 300 BSF personnel and their family members, with a team of over 30 specialist doctors delivering comprehensive services including dental examinations, early disease detection, preventive care and oral hygiene awareness.
The programme was successfully organised and coordinated by Lt. Arpan Dixit, Shri Jiju Thomas and Shri Anil Kumar Meena, DC, STC BSF Bangalore, whose dedicated efforts ensured smooth and effective conduct of the entire event.
STC BSF Bangalore reaffirmed its commitment to the health and welfare of BSF personnel by continuously promoting preventive healthcare and organising regular medical outreach initiatives to ensure operational fitness and well-being of the force and their families.
