
STC BSF BANGALORE ON THE OCCASION OF PASSING OUT parade OF 371 CONSTABLE

Bengaluru : A passing out cum attestation parade of 371 Constable (GD) of Batch No. 606 and 607 was held at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) BSF Bangalore on 03.01.2026 at 0730 hours. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG STC BSF Bangalore took the salute and reviewed the parade.
Dinesh Kumar Yadav appreciated the excellent manner in which the Parade was presented and congratulated the participating Constable (GD) trainees of BSF for their smart turn out and excellent Drill. He wished them success in their new assignment. Large number of family members of passed out R/CT (GD) also witnessed the parade. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS congratulated them and also awarded medals for their excellent performance in various fields during training.

STC BSF Bangalore, is imparting basic training to recruits (GD/TM), SI (DE) and various in-service Courses to all ranks of BSF. The recruits of State Police like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Odisha, IRB and police personnel of NEPA, RPF, CISF, NPA and Nepal Armed Police have also been trained in this Institute (Physical Training, Un-Armed Combat, Drill, Weapon Training, Field Craft, Tactics etc.).

Drill, Weapon, Field Craft, Tactics, Field Engineering, Map Reading, Border Management, Personality Development, Communication, Intelligence, Law etc.) and besides the training of BSF personnel.
Keeping view the emerging challenges & Border Security, STC Bangalore has developed as Centre of Excellence, Certified with ISO 9001:2015 and NSCSTI accreditation with ‘Fair’ Grading.
4.BSF was raised in the year 1965 as a specialized Force to ensure the sanctity and security of India’s borders. The force proved its mettle in the 1971 war with Pakistan and played a decisive role in liberation of Bangladesh. BSF has also earned Laurels in Counter Insurgency / extremist operation in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Punjab and J&K. Presently 16 battalions of BSF are deployed in Anti Naxal operations in most remote difficult and Naxal effected areas of Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Today the Force is having a total strength of more than 2.70 Lakhs comprising of 14 FTR, 47 Sectors and 193 Bns.5. In its journey so far, BSF has earned a total of 4057 Medals which includes Padma Vibhushan – 01, Padma Bhusan – 02, Padamshree – 07, PM Medal for life saving – 43, Arjuna Awards – 17, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal – 1, Mahavir Chakra – 1, Param Vishisht Seva Medal – 01, Vishisht Seva Medal – 11, Kirti Chakra – 06, Veer Chakra – 13, Shaurya Chakra – 13, Sena Medal – 56, Mention in Dispatches – 44, President Police Medal for Gallantry – 232, Police Medal for Gallantry – 1001, President Police Medal for Distinguished service – 251, Police Medal for Meritorious service – 2350, National Adventure Awards – 02, Jeevan Raksha Padak – 03 and UN Medal – 02.
- BSF is the largest Border Guarding Force and besides maintaining sanctity of International boundary, the force is also fighting Insurgency/Militancy, Anti Naxal Operations, Law & Order duties and disaster response. BSF is also deployed on the line of control, shoulder to shoulder with Indian Army. BSF has got a direct role during peace as well as war time.
