Vijai Sambhav Foundation Receives Generous Cheque from New Horizon Gurukul Students at UPHAAR 4.0 Reflection Event

Bengaluru : Vijai Sambhav Foundation (VSF) today hosted students and teachers from New Horizon Gurukul School, who presented a cheque raised through student-managed stalls at the school’s UPHAAR 4.0 – The Art of Giving event. This values-driven initiative highlights the power of youth-led efforts in fostering a culture of generosity, empathy, and societal responsibility from a young age.

VSF Chairman Ravi Rajhans welcomed the group, outlining the foundation’s mission in education, healthcare, and sustainability. Unique in its model, VSF is completely driven by professionals who work 5 days in office and devote their weekends to serving society. He commended the school’s students for fully managing the stalls, embodying collective effort and meaningful contribution. “This is a great culture that inoculates the spirit of giving and encourages responsibility toward society,” said Rajhans.

Chief Guest Shri Milind Gokhale ji inspired the students to embrace giving as a lifelong value, shaping compassionate citizens. Mrs. Sangeeta and Mrs. Shaileja shared insights on how such programs build empathy and awareness beyond the classroom.

VSF took this opportunity to reinforce its ongoing #VSF Pledge No to Plastic – an initiative active for the last 2 years under the Green Sustainability program, led by Ravi Rajhans and the dedicated VSF team. Students collectively adopted the pledge, with volunteers distributing eco-friendly cotton bags to all students to promote plastic minimization and environmental stewardship.

The program was smoothly anchored by Sonal Kirty. VSF volunteers – Sonal Kirty, Jitendra Kumar, Neetesh Nath, John Britto, Carol Britto, Vijay Shankar Gupta, Yogendra Agrahari, Pritam Kumar, and Himanshu – briefly introduced themselves and encouraged the students. Jitendra Kumar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks on behalf of VSF, expressing deep gratitude to the Gurukul family, underscoring how purposeful actions by young minds drive lasting social impact.
